Thunderbird Falls Hike

Thunderbird Falls is a great Alaskan hike. This is one of the easier and more family friendly and popular trails in the Chugach area, and tends to attract a lot of people. The trail is approximately 1 mile and does not get very steep and is rewarded with a very pretty view. It is a very popular spot so expect to see other people on the road. This hike is about a half hour drive from Anchorage.

At the end of this hike you get to a boardwalk and a viewing platform with some gorgeous Alaskan sights. I reccomend this hike if you're in the Anchorage or Palmer-Wasilla area, and would like to see some of the beautiful Alaska woods and wilderness.

How to get there

Take the Glenn Highway to Thunderbird Exit. Follow the signs for one mile until you get to the trailhead parking.
